Setting up Tailscale on macOS

Tailscale works on macOS 10.15 or later.

Tailscale v1.44.0 was the last version to support macOS 10.14 and 10.13.

The Tailscale app is free to download, but downloading any app from the Mac App Store may require an Apple ID with a valid credit card attached. If you don't want to set up an Apple ID to use Tailscale, you can download the macOS app another way.

Download Tailscale from the Mac App Store.
Follow the Tailscale onboarding flow, which will guide you to install the Tailscale VPN configuration.
Sign up with your SSO identity provider.

Congratulations! You’ve added your Mac to your Tailscale network.
