I'm currently the Director of Engineering for Security at Render, where I lead the security engineering team protecting one of the fastest-growing cloud platforms. Previously, I served as VP Engineering and Chief Architect at TeamSnap, Director of Engineering at Mixmax, and have held engineering roles at Barracuda and Yext. When not gardening, I occasionally write about security, platform engineering, and the gaps between what certifications promise and what they actually mean.
