Marius Hobbhahn

Marius Hobbhahn is the co-founder and CEO of Apollo Research, an organization focused on evaluating and improving the safety of advanced AI systems. Apollo works with leading labs, including OpenAI and Anthropic, to study how frontier models behave in real-world deployments. Marius’s research has focused on the behavior of advanced AI systems, including work on deceptive alignment and “AI scheming.” He holds a PhD in machine learning from the University of Tübingen and was named to the TIME100 AI list of influential figures in artificial intelligence.
