# Can't download Tailscale client

If you are experiencing issues downloading the Tailscale client to your device, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

* **Device OS version needs updating**. Update your device to the latest OS version if possible. While we support some older OS versions, we recommend using the latest.
* **Download occurred without notification**. Check your default download folder.
* **Network or internet connection failed during download**. Check your connection and retry the download.
* **Network policies prevent downloading**. Contact the IT administration in your organization for guidance, if you suspect that this is the issue.
* **Storage capacity on the device is exceeded**. Clear space on your device to allow the download.
* **Virus scanner is preventing the download**. Configure the virus scanner to allow downloads from `tailscale.com`.
* **Web browser pop-up blocker is preventing downloads**. Disable the pop-up blocker or configure it to allow downloads from `tailscale.com`.
