# Troubleshoot macOS access from iPhone

To access files on a Mac from your iPhone:

1. Open the Files app on your iPhone.
2. Go to the **Browse** tab.
3. Select the  in the top right.
4. Select **Connect to Server** and enter your Mac's Tailscale IP address.

You can now browse any folders shared by your Mac using the Server Message Block (SMB) protocol.
