# Manage devices

Last validated Feb 3, 2025

Tailscale provides several ways for you to manage which devices are allowed on your Tailscale network (known as a tailnet). A device can be a personal computer, mobile device, server, or other type of client.

[**Add a device**](/docs/features/access-control/device-management/how-to/set-up) — Add new devices to your Tailscale network.

[**Device approval**](/docs/features/access-control/device-management/device-approval) — Review and approve new devices before they can join your Tailscale network.

You can configure Tailscale settings without needing to use the Tailscale command-line interface (CLI), and when a device does not have a built-in GUI.

[**Manage devices using the web interface**](/docs/features/client/device-web-interface) — Manage your individual device using the web interface.

Use device posture to collect device attributes and use them as part of connectivity rules within your tailnet.

[**Device posture management**](/docs/features/device-posture) — Use device posture for enforcing device rules in your tailnet.
