# Access an SSH server (or shell)

Last validated Jul 31, 2026

> **Note:** Border0 + Tailscale is currently in beta.

You have several options to make your SSH servers available through Border0 + Tailscale, enabling your users to access them securely using their [Tailscale identity][docs-tailscale-identity]. Your Border0 connector functions as an SSH proxy, enforcing SSH-specific policies and providing session recording capabilities. Your users can access SSH servers using their preferred SSH client or the Border0 [web client](https://my.tailscale.com), offering convenient, browser-based SSO access to your infrastructure.

Use the following guides to configure and interact with your SSH servers.

* [Access the built-in SSH server](/docs/border0/how-to/access-ssh/built-in-ssh) — Access the built-in SSH server for your Border0 connector.
